Investigators are still trying to piece together the 50-year-old Ruffin’s last hours. An estimated $40,000 he was carrying when he was stricken has disappeared. Linster (Butch) Murrell, a friend who lent Ruffin the limousine on the evening of May 31, says Ruffin drove off with a man named Donald Brown. Police believe Ruffin purchased cocaine somewhere and took it to the West Philadelphia house to smoke. Ruffin and another occupant of the house reportedly shared 10 vials of crack in less than a half hour, an enormous intake, experts say....

A grand jury on Friday indicted Sharper and two other men on nine total counts from two separate incidents last year in New Orleans, according to the Times-Picayune. Sharper faces two counts of aggravated rape, as well as a charge of simple rape. He’s accused of assaulting two women in his apartment in September 2013 and another a month earlier. Villeneuve, who notably directed Arrival and Sicario, wrote the newest Dune adaptation alongside Eric Roth (A Star Is Born, Forrest Gump) and Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange). The film holds a $165 million budget and will cover the first half of Frank Herbert’s iconic 1965 science-fiction novel of the same name. Dune takes place roughly 20,000 years in the future on a planet called Arrakis. The sparsely populated planet contains a much-coveted drug that can extend human life and enhance mental abilities....
David Beckham’s dream of playing in the Olympics he helped secure for his hometown came to an end on Thursday after he was left out of Great Britain’s squad for the Games.
