Recently, San Diego Studio confirmed that MLB The Show 23’s cover star is Jazz Chisholm of the Miami Marlins, explaining that he was chosen for his “electric personality, play, and love for all things baseball.” Little else has been confirmed as of this writing, but a full-blown reveal is set to follow soon.

It has been confirmed that MLB The Show 23 will feature cross-play, cross-save, and cross-progression across devices, with the game being available for PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Outside a feature premiere video and legitimate reveal, fans should know that a collector’s edition will be revealed on February 2 and pre-orders will begin on February 6, though for those on Xbox consoles, it bears repeating that fans will be able to get it day one on Xbox Game Pass at the simple cost of their subscription.

Of course, MLB The Show 23 may be the latest Xbox Game Pass title confirmed for March 2023, but it’s not the only one. There have been three other confirmations as of this writing. On March 3, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can claim Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja action RPG set in the Chinese Three Kingdoms period. Horror game Amnesia: The Bunker is also set to grace the service sometime in March, while an indie adventure game—developed by a 16-year-old—called Way to the Woods drops sometime in March too. In it, a deer and a fawn search for their way home.

More will no doubt be announced in the weeks and months to come, but it’s truly shaping up to be a great year. With several games already confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in 2023 as is, with major drops like MLB The Show 23 getting revealed along the way, fans have a lot to look forward to. Not to mention, major Bethesda games like Redfall and Starfield are coming to Xbox Game Pass this year as well.

Xbox Game Pass users get a handful of games every month.
