The new trailer for Atomic Heart shows off more of the game’s main story, the characters, enemies, and locations that appear in the game. However, one of the biggest takeaways from the new trailer is that it reveals the release window for Atomic Heart is 2022. It even teases the last three letters of the release month as “BER,” which leaves the possibility of the release month for the game being after September.
The new trailer provides gameplay footage, such as some more human characters that will show up in the game. It features various chaotic and eerie sci-fi locations in the game, showing more of the mysterious Soviet facility. Players will also be able to see some of the diverse enemies that will be featured. The trailer shows off the machine enemies, including large spherical robots, eerie humanoid robots, flying drones, and more. It even shows some biological threats players will face in the game.
The trailer also shows more of the main gameplay of Atomic Heart, starting with the glove that the main character will use in the game, including levitating enemies into the air, and freezing enemies in place. Some guns and melee weapons players can use were also showcased during the trailer, and even gives a quick glimpse of the crafting system used to upgrade weapons.
The general reaction to the new video was mostly positive, with many commenters enjoying the gameplay and graphics of Atomic Heart, looking forward to its release. However, one recurring criticism for the English trailer was the English dubbing, which felt off to various commenters. Many of them expressed the hope that they can play Atomic Heart with the original Russian voice acting when it releases later this year.
Atomic Heart is scheduled to release in 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
