One of the most exciting announcements to come out of this year’s E3 hailed from the Eat Sleep Play camp - responsible for God of War and led by David Jaffe. The announcement was a new Twisted Metal game, beloved by many seasoned gamers.

The only problem with these great titles? They are Sony exclusives, made only for PS3.

It would be great to see Jaffe’s talent show love to other consoles - enlightening gamers who are locked into one console.

The good news is that wish may just be granted in the near future. When Joystiq asked Jaffe if Eat Sleep Play is available to develop on other consoles, his response was simple: “Absolutely.”

Although they aren’t actively looking, Jaffe said his studio would be interested in developing for other consoles.

That said, for you dedicated Xbox 360 and Wii gamers, don’t expect to see Twisted Metal make it’s way to your console because, as Jaffe states, the IP is owned by Sony.

Also, the Jaffe’s interest in other consoles shouldn’t be construed as trouble with Sony. Jaffe clarifies that despite the fact they are ready to develop for other consoles, they are still in great hands with Sony.

It’s always exciting to hear new possibilities for consoles. I think each console has amazing games developed by diverse talents - and it’s almost a letdown when a title is exclusive to one console. Knowing that developers are interested in spreading their wings a bit (to see how their skills work on other consoles), is great.

I’d love for an Eat Sleep Play game to make it to the Xbox 360 - so, knowing Jaffe’s success with games, I look forward to see what new IPs could come from the developer in the future.

Twisted Metal is still in development, and is slated for a 2011 release - (see our hands-on impressions).

How do you feel about console exclusives? What would you like to see Jaffe bring to the Xbox 360 or Wii?
