Beckham praised the Premier League’s current leaders, saying: “They’re doing very well this season. They’ve always played attractive football, they’ve always played good football that people love to watch.”
Former England captain Beckham is no stranger to the Arsenal squad, having twice spent periods training with the club. Beckham trained with the Gunners in January this year prior to his move to Paris Saint Germain, whilst he also trained with Arsene Wenger’s side during the 2008 MLS off season.
“They’re having a great season”, he continued. “They’ve obviously brought some great players into the team, so it’s good to see.”
However he allayed any fears over his allegiances by assuring Manchester United fans that he wants to see them win the league this season under new manager David Moyes.
“But I still hope Man United beat them (Arsenal). That doesn’t change!”
Beckham made 265 appearances for United, winning six Premier League titles in the process.
