When Dauntless players first boot up the game, the first thing they will need to do is complete the tutorial hunt. Afterward, they can explore Ramsgate, which is the Dauntless hub world. It’s here where players will be able to interact with merchants as well as accept hunts and embark on them.
To start a hunt in Dauntless, players need to visit the Hunt Board in Ramsgate. Doing so will give players a list of Behemoths that they can try to hunt. Upon selecting a Behemoth to hunt, Dauntless players will then be paired with three others (assuming that they don’t have a full party already) and will be on their way.
How to Hunt with Friends
Dauntless is primarily a co-op game, and while players can find plenty of success playing with random people, it’s understandable that some would prefer to play with their real friends instead. Luckily, Dauntless makes playing with friends online pretty simple and straightforward.
Open the social menu to invite friends to play Dauntless. Then the host player can go to the Hunt Board and select a hunt for the group to partake in. This should work even if invited players aren’t appearing in the host player’s Ramsgate hub world, so don’t worry too much about that.
Teaming with friends should make playing through Dauntless much easier. It will help players complete quests quicker, and therefore help them get popular weapons like the Repeaters as fast as possible. Not to mention the Behemoths can be tough to defeat without a competent group, so players will definitely want to go in prepared and with people that know how to play.
Dauntless is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
